Little Cutie BABY Building Blocks

Welcome to Day Two of Imaginisce's Little Cutie Release Party! I sure hope you've been over the blog HERE because there are tons of awesome projects and giveaways. Today, I'm sharing a set of Baby Blocks that I made with the boy version of the sweet new baby papers. Look how cute!

This little set was very easy to create. And I thought it would be really cute in a baby boy's room (maybe with his name) or as a table decoration at a baby shower. Or even on a wreath for the new mother's hospital door. Anyhoo, I thought I'd give you some close ups and a quick little set of directions in case you'd like to make some yourself.

First, I cut four 4" blocks from a 2" x 4" piece of wood. Then, I sanded each block and painted it with cream paint, just some inexpensive acrylic from the craft store. The last step before adding paper and embellies was to distress the edges with brown chalk and my d-Stress tool.

To add my paper, I cut four different patterns at 1.75" x 3.75" and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the front of each block. I also added 1.75" x 12" strips (cut from the Boy Oh Boy paper that has a variety of strips on it) around the edges of the blocks.

While the blocks were drying, I cut out my letters using my Cricut Expression and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I also embossed them with my Cuttlebug and the Dotted Swiss folder. I chalked the edges brown and used foam adhsive to attach them to my blocks.

The last step was to add some die cuts, stickers, twine, and i-rock crystals. That's it! Ok, now seriously, head over to the Imaginisce blog to see if you can win yourself a prize!
