ScrapRoom October Sneak Layout

My October sneak layout was posted over at the ScrapRoom yesterday.  I got to use Simple Stories new Take a Hike line.  LOVE it!  Here's my layout.

Fireside Fun

The sticker sheet for this collection included a campfire and marshmallows on a stick, just perfect for these pictures of my kiddos making s'mores.

The full kit reveal and idea gallery will go live Monday.  You will LOVE all the collections that Tammy chose.  See you then!

Tween Cave

My oldest turns 12 on Tuesday, so to celebrate we turned the garage into a tween cave (complete with 72-inch projector screen connected to the XBox) and invited over a few friends for a night of video games and food.  Even dad and little brother got in on the action.

And just like that . . . he's twelve.  And in Junior High.  Lord, please let this next year be a slow one because I'm just not ready for thirteen.  LOL!

Rolling, rolling, rolling . . . keep those buses rolling!

School officially started for my two boys and myself on August 17th; however, with two days off for Hurricane Isaac and the Labor Day holiday, it feels like we're just now really getting into the swing of things.  I finally had a chance to take a few pics.  Nothing elaborate but captured nonetheless.

We have a busy weekend ahead.  The oldest one turns 12 and is having a Black Ops slumber party with a few of his friends.  Thanks goodness there's going to be cake because I'm definitely going to need some chocolate courage.  LOL!

Have a great weekend!

Farewell Summer

I just realized that I never posted my cards that I made with The ScrapRoom's August kit.  This first one is a Summer card but now it's more appropriate for saying Farewell, Summer.

The papers and chipboard stickers are both from Little Yellow Bicycle's Splash collection.  SO perfect for all those summer pictures you've yet to scrapbook.

For this second card, I left the sentiment blank, so I can use it whenever I need.  I never seem to have the right card on hand, so this is a great solution for me.  I sure wish I'd have thought of that about 50 cards ago.  Ha ha!

These papers are October Afternoon Woodland Park.  I LOVE how trendy the patterns are.  Super fun!

And seeing as we're now a few days into September, there are NEW kits available in the TSR store HERE.  Even though I'm not designing with the kits this month--on a little break while I get into the swing of my new job, I still ordered them all.  Can't wait to play a bit.  And can't wait for some Fall weather to arrive.  Hurricane Isaac did nothing to cool things off!

Have a great week!
