January Sneak

Hi friends. It is rainy and cold here in Louisiana, and I am so thankful to be off for another week.  I'm spending some time reading and scrapping.  Today, I wanted to share a quick sneak peek of two of my January pages for The ScrapRoom.

Aren't the colors lovely?  I can't wait to get back to my scrap table and finish out the month.  See you soon with some actual pages!

Merry & Bright

Hi there friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful day after Christmas. We are relaxing in our jammies, watching a little football, and noshing on leftover sweets. I'll be heading into my scrap room in a bit to work on some Project Life pages with my new kit. Before I do, though, I wanted to share my last layout using the December kits from The ScrapRoom.

Merry & Bright

My sweet boys decorating the Hallmark Tree in the foyer and getting redding for Santa on Christmas Eve. It was a magical Christmas last year.

My Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher really comes in handy when there are die cuts in the kits. I love how easy it is and how much texture it adds.

This is likely my last post for 2014. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a Happy New Year!

Just Pictures, No Words

Five. More. Days. And then I am off for two weeks. So ready. Last week I forgot to post a Project Life layout, so today I am posting two.  Lots of pictures and very few words. See, I'm so tired that I can barely even write. LOL

All of these layouts were created with the December Flavors of the Month and Project Life kits from The ScrapRoom. Both kits are loaded with a ton of Christmas patterns and embellishments.

Well, that's all I've got for today. See you next Monday with another December layout. And words. More words.

Project Life: Christmas Break

Oh. My. Goodness.  It is December.  The last month of the year.  CRAZY!  Although it is mind blowing how quickly time is passing me by, I am excited that my Christmas Break is only three weeks away.  My hubby will be home the entire time and we have a New Year's Eve trip planned.  Last year, we just hung out at home.  That is exactly the focus of my first Project Life page for December.

Christmas Break 2013

My little boy spent his time making pop up cards from templates he found on the internet, wrapping presents, and eating candy canes.  The older one played Xbox, read, and practiced his baritone. To help blend all these activities and bright colors, I chose the Simple Stories SNAP 'Tis the Season cards for this page.  The white background made it seem less busy.

I'll be sharing more about this layout at The ScrapRoom later in the month.  Hope you'll stop by.  In the meantime, see you next Monday with another December layout.

Project Life: Thanksgiving Layout and a Sketch

Pinch me!  Today is my first day of our Thanksgiving Holidays.  We are off for an entire week and my brother is flying home today.  I am so excited.  I cannot wait to just hang out with my family and cook.  That is my favorite part about Thanksgiving.  And that is what this layout from last year's Thanksgiving holidays is all about.

Together

This layout includes Simple Stories Sweater Weather paper, cards, and embellishments.  The only thing not from Simple Stories is the wood word and the exclusive ScrapRoom flair.  Aren't the colors just perfect for Fall.  And the houndstooth is super fun!

And here's my November sketch in case you missed it over at The ScrapRoom.  All the super cute Simple Stories Sweater Weather Die Cuts and TSR's exclusive flair were the inspiration for this one.

I finally got my Canon Selphy C910 printer working, so I can include some Instagram pictures on my pages.  I like being able to create a little 4x6 scrapbook page with the smaller pictures.  This one measures 3" by 3".  If you have one of the printers, you can find a ton of videos on YouTube to help you print various sizes and layouts.

Well, that's my last November Project Life page.  I'm working on December's pages this week.  The kit is gorgeous and will start previewing tomorrow.  Be sure to check it out!  See you soon.

Project Life: Two Singles

This week's spread isn't really a spread.  It is two single page layouts that I just photographed together.  Since that is how they appear in my album, I thought I'd just share them that way.  And because I didn't feel like cropping and editing separate batches of photos.  Ha ha.

Every Day Blessing and For the Record

These two pages include lots of wooden embellishments from The ScrapRoom Project Life and Flavors of the Month Kits.  I never get tired of adding them to my pages.  This month I really enjoyed the heart speech bubbles, just perfect for my journaling card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back soon with my last ScrapRoom Project Life page and with my first Stampin Up Seasonal Snapshot layout.  Have a great week!

Project Life: Hello Autumn

Today I am sharing one of my favorites from my November layouts at The ScrapRoom.  Not only do I adore the leaf pictures of my silly boy, but I also love the Hello Autumn line by Bella Blvd.  This month's Project Life and Flavors of the Month Kits feature the papers and stickers.  Too cute!!!

November

This Hello Happy flair button is exclusive to The ScrapRoom.  Tammy designs and produces them herself.  This one is a perfect match to the Bella Blvd. products.  And I just love adding flair to my Project Life album.  One thing I have learned is to add the flair on top of my page protector so that it doesn't pucker up.

See what I mean?  The colors and patterns are precious.  And the stickers are just perfect for all your favorite fall pictures.  All I added was a little burlap twine.

Be sure to head over to The ScrapRoom gallery HERE to see all the other pages created with this line.  So much inspiration!

Project Life Class Sneak Peek

I am teaching a Project Life class to some of my Stampin Up friends in a couple of weeks.  We'll be completing two double page spreads using Stampin Up's Sensational Seasons Project Life Card and Embellishment Kits.  We'll also be using the Stampin Up Divided Pocket Page Protectors.  Anyway, just wanted to post a little sneak.

After the class, I will be sharing the complete layout here.  Hope to see you then!

Project Life: Soccer Layout

Finally, we are having some cool weather.  I have been waiting to wear my boots, sweaters, and scarves, so I am glad to finally be able to.  However, I am not looking forward to cold, windy nights watching my oldest play soccer.  Ah, such is the struggle in November for a soccer mom, right?

My first layout using The ScrapRoom's Project Life and Flavors of the Month Kits is about soccer.  My son was on the Junior High team.  Their season started in November, and they played two games every Saturday until about February.  It was only fitting that I dedicated an entire layout to all the pictures that I took.

PJH Vols

In this month's kits, I received a handful of black and white cards and some grayish black rub-ons.  Those plus a piece of black cardstock, a Becky Higgins 3x4 grid card, some red Thickers from my stash, and my Silhouette Cameo are all that I used for this page.

As you can see from this last picture, I added the rub-ons directly onto my photos.  If you click on the picture of the full page spread, you can see them all.  I love how they turned out, and they were so easy to adhere.

Thanks for stopping by today.  See you soon with a couple of random photo layouts.

November Sneak

Happy Monday to ya!  Just wanted to pop in today to share a sneak peek of my November Project Life pages for The ScrapRoom.

This month I will be posting a new ScrapRoom Project Life layout every Monday.  Plus, I'll be sharing a couple of Christmas Cards for my church card class and two Stampin Up Seasonal Snapshots Pocket Page layouts for a class that I'm teaching during the Thanksgiving holidays.  Hope to see you soon!

Family Pics: @ the Patch

Our family enjoyed a fine Fall day at the Pumpkin Patch last weekend.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.

As soon as my Stampin Up Seasonal Snapshots Kit arrives, I will be printing these out and working on a Project Life Hello Fall page. More details about the class will follow.  In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying your Fall days.

Project Life: Halloween 2013

Hi there.  Today, I want to share my last October layout, the one from Halloween. My husband bought costumes for all of us last year. We were some kind of hippy pimp family. LOL!

Happy Halloween

This is a super simple layout featuring Simple Stories Frankie and Friends, which comes in both the Flavors of the Month and Project Life kits at The ScrapRoom. You also get a coordinating "I Want Candy" flair button exclusive to The ScrapRoom. LOVE that chevron.

Well, that is the last of my October pages. My November kit just arrived, and I am super excited to get to dig into it. You are going to LOVE it.  See you soon!

Project Life: October 2013

Most months I have a a true Project Life layout of random photos from the month. I corral all those photos into one layout that I title with the month and year. Here's my October layout from my 2013 album.

October 2013

The bright colors in the Basic Grey Second City Flavors of the Month kit and Project Life cards worked well with all the bright colors in my photos. And the city themed embellishments echoed the night out pictures of me and my little boy.

For this title card, I used the two acetate tags that came in the Project Life kit, backed them with patterned paper, and then added stickers to the top. Super fast and easy. My favorite.

The flair in the center of the camera card is a ScrapRoom exclusive. The colors and scene are a perfect match to Basic Grey Second City papers.

Well, that's my third layout. I'll see you soon with my Halloween layout. Thanks for stopping by!
