Last year about this time, I threw an engagement party for my brother and his fiance. It was straight out of Pinterest. Twinkle lights, bales of hay, photo banner, chalkboard art, a s'mores bar, mason jars, burlap. It was so much work, but so worth it to see how happy the newly engaged couple was. It really was the Best Day!
How stinking cute are they? Just about as cute as that little fox on the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane papers that came in my November Project Life kit from The ScrapRoom. See the full kit HERE!
Well, that is my last layout for November. I'll be back soon with some Christmas layouts. Christmas! Already! Crazy. I still have so much to do .....
Hi friends. Today, I have two single-page Project Life pages to share. As you may have noticed, not all of my pages are double-page weekly layouts. Sometimes, I have a page that contains a week's (or month's) worth of pictures, and sometimes I create a page for an event. It just depends on the pictures that I have. At the end of the day, I'm just glad to print out the pictures and get them into an album. Here's an event layout.
These pictures of my son completing his Scholastic book order were taken in October of 2014. The picture at the top right, however, was published on the teacher's website in January 2015. I love that I can combine all these related photos onto one page. That, for me, is part of the beauty of working about a year behind.
All the supplies on this page, except the Thickers, are from my November Project Kit from The ScrapRoom. I just LOVE the colors. You can see the full kit HERE.
So Very Thankful
This is my FAVORITE layout this month. The pictures are of my brother on the day he proposed to his girlfriend. So sweet! The supplies are from the same kit as the layout above.
I'm not sure if you can tell, but in the 3x4 pocket at left in the above photo, I added one of the Becky Higgins Project Life Everyday Photo Overlays. You actually THREE of them in the kit! What a great deal.
Um ... that pineapple is perfect. Suits my future sister-in-law to a T. She is so trendy and has such a bright personality. Yep, pretty perfect.
Hi there friends! Today I want to share a quick and easy tip with you. It's great for your Project Life cards as well as scrapbook pages and cards. Faux washi tape!
First, as for supplies, you need a pair of scissors and a small strip of patterned paper. I used the two narrow strips from the bottom edge of the Pink Paislee Market square paper that came in the November Project Life Kit.
Use your scissors to cut a wavy, beveled edge at both ends of a short strip of paper. The idea is to make it look like you tore off a piece of washi tape. Then adhere that strip onto your project as though it is holding down a photo or card. Here is my example.
Such a simple little trick, but I love how it really grounds the coordinating puffy stickers that came in this kit. So before you throw away the perforated strips of paper that come on the edges of your 12x12 paper sheets, see if you can use a bit for some faux washi tape.
Oh November, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. 1. Soccer 2. Mums 3. Changing Leaves 4. Door Decor 5. Cooler Weather 6. Family Time Since that is what I love most about Fall, that is what I tend to take pictures of. Here are some of my fall favorites from this time last year.
Technically, soccer here is not called "Football," but I really wanted to use that bright yellow tag. LOL!
Scrapbooking about scrapbooking. Ha ha! The above photo is a collage of some Stampin' Up pages that I created for my 2011 album. To see the entire page, click on the Stampin' Up label in the side bar.
I finally used my days of the week / date stamp. I love the font and how it kept my journaling organized. Tammy carries a ton of stamps that you can use on your Project Life cards. Check out that page HERE.
I am so glad you stopped by again today. Hope to see you soon!
It is finally FALL, y'all! I just love the colors and the activities of Fall. And I love scrapbooking pictures from Fall. Today's page includes pictures from last year's visit to an awesome pumpkin patch about an hour from our house. We love it! It's such a beautiful farm with tons of fun activities. My favorite part is just hanging out with my sweet family.
So Very Blessed
Everything on this page came in my November Project Life kit from The ScrapRoom. The papers and stickers are from Simple Stories. You can see the entire kit HERE.
Photo collages in my Project Life album make me so happy. In just two 4x6 pockets, I have six pictures. Yass!!!
Here are some close-up shots of the Simple Stories stickers. I actually placed them on the outside of the page protector rather than on the actual photo. This makes me less nervous because then I can reposition as needed without ruining my photo.
I loved these papers and stickers so much that I made a second layout with them. I'll be back soon to share that one with you as well. Thanks for stopping by!
Well, another Halloween is in the books. This year's Halloween was wet and soggy and had to be moved up a day. However, last year's Halloween was gorgeous. And that is what I was scrapbooking this past week. I love scrapbooking a year behind -- it allows me to relive the memory before it gets tucked away into my album. Here's a look at my page.
This super simple page is a combination of Becky Higgins' Halloween Project Life Cards and some old K and Company stickers that I bought at Target a few years ago. The title was created with American Crafts Thickers Bones circa 2009. I love the pop of green from the stickers.
Look at sassy pants when I told him that he couldn't eat all of his candy. Ha ha!
This last picture is my favorite. It was a lovely evening to walk the neighborhood!
As for this year's Halloween pictures, I think I took about three. With my iPhone mind you. The weather was threatening rain, and I didn't want to take out the big camera. That's ok, though. I will still make a page about the night.
See you soon with my November pages for The ScrapRoom!
