Project Life: Volume Two Cover

Well, it was bound to happen.  My Project Life album is so full that I had to start Volume Two, which meant that I needed to create a cover page for the second album.  That's what I thought I'd share with you today.  I used supplies from this month's ScrapRoom kit, as well as embellishments from a previous kit.

Project Life: Volume Two Cover

This pretty aqua colored paper was my inspiration.  I just loved the color, especially with the pop of salmon.  Such a trendy combination right now.  For the main card, I dug out some Studio Calico Take Note People wood veneers from a previous kit and combined them with the heart-shaped paper clip from this month's kit.  I didn't have a photo of all four of us that I wanted to use on the cover, so this representation was a good second choice.

These four cards were cut using the 3x4 heart life cards from the Silhouette store.  I backed each one with a sheet of patterned paper from the Recorded Collection by Webster's Pages.

Well, that's it for today.  I still have several Project Life pages to share with you, so please stop back by.  Thanks!

Project Life: Tiger Fans

Happy Saturday to ya!  Here at my house we are busy doing our chores so that we can be finished before the LSU football game starts this afternoon.  At that time, we'll be having a coffee table tailgate and cheering on the Tigers.  And since today is game day, I thought I'd share a Project Life page that I created using pictures from an impromptu photo shoot last fall at about this same time.

Project Life: Tiger Fans

I absolutely LOVE all these pictures so I had to include as many as possible in a spread.  There weren't many LSU themed scrapbook supplies for me to choose from, so I used my Cameo to create a chevron card and a Tiger paw.  The rest of the embellishments were just cut from the paper that I had.

What's a photo shoot without some outtakes, right?  I always have a ton of kooky pictures that really capture my kids' personalities, so I include them in the book.  One day they'll see how silly they were.  LOL

Ok, I'm off to start cooking some appetizers for the game.  Hope you enjoy your Saturday!  See you soon with some more Project Life pages.

Project Life: September Sketch

Hi there.  Before September slips away from me, I want to share another Project Life layout and sketch.  This layout ended up being the last one that I made with this month's kits from The ScrapRoom, so it is a mix up of both the Project Life kit and a couple of Flavors of the Month page kits.  I love that so many different pieces coordinated.

Project Life: September

For my sketch this month, I used a some very simple shapes to create my title card.  I really wanted to show off the wooden camera embellishment and large Thicker numbers.

The rest of my cards were straight from the kit, just cut and put in the pockets.  In fact, the only embellishments that I used were a sticker and a camera.  The movie picture is one that I downloaded straight from the Internet.  I do that a lot when I don't have enough pictures.

Thanks for popping by today.  See you soon with a photo collage tutorial!

Project Life: Week 36

Now that it is September, I am feeling ready for some Fall weather.  Temperatures here have been (and are expected to remain) in the upper 90s for the past few weeks.  With the heat indext, some days have been 106.  Bleh!  It might be a while before it feels like Fall.  Oh well, I'll just stay inside and scrap.  LOL

Today I have another Project Life page to share.  This one is from Jonathan's 12th birthday party.  We set up a project screen in the garage and let the boys play Call of Duty all night.  They loved it!

 Week 36

This layout includes a hodge podge of papers and cards from The ScrapRoom's Flavors of the Month and Project Life kits.  Anything that had grey, orange, green and blue in it seemed to match.  The stickers are from Echo Park's Photo Freedom 12 x 12 Sticker Sheet.  There is also some chipboard and buttons from the My Mind's Eye kit.

Photo Collage

I am so excited to have figured out how to create 4 x 6 collages in PSE 10.  You can also use Picasa or the Diptic or Picstitch Apps on your iPhone.  Regardless, it really helped me get more pictures onto my layouts.  A little more time consuming . . . but well worth it!

 Journaling Cards

That's it for me today.  I'm off and am going to a family BBQ.  Hope you enjoy your Labor Day!
