June Sneak Peek

Have you been following the sneaks over at The ScrapRoom?  Only three more days until the full reveal.  I LOVE both the June Flavors of the Month and the Project Life kits.  I ended up making seven double pocket pages.  Here's a sneak at four of them.

I can't wait to show you the rest.  See ya Sunday!

The Rest of May's Project Life

It is MAY!!!  I'm so excited that it is the last month of school.  Summer is just around the corner, and I cannot wait.  Coincidentally, my first layout to share is from the first week of last summer.

Hello Summer

The numbers on my journaling card correspond to the numbers on the pictures.  I punched out 3/4" circles and added small number stickers from the kit onto each circle.  I like being able to save time by just journaling once for my entire weekly spread.

Mother's Day 2013

Be Extra Ordinary

This page includes both of my kiddos' end-of-the-year awards ceremonies.  Since I had snapped a picture of the program and the award received by my 8th grader, I didn't feel the need to include either in the album.  Instead, they are in his memorabilia box to one day be placed in his school album.  I find myself snapping pics of lots of our memorabilia because it is often hard for me to keep it organized for an entire year since I am working on last year's Project Life.  This has really worked for me.

Well, that's it for my May Project Life pages.  I will be working on June's layouts next week.  I also have some other crafty projects to share soon.  Hope you'll pop back in!

Some May Project Life Pages

Hello friends!  Today, I am home sick.  My allergies have finally gotten the best of me and left me with an upper respiratory infection and laryngitis.  I'm home resting so that I can get my voice back.  It's hard to teach without it.  So, while I'm laid up, I thought I'd share some of my Project Life pages that I created with the May Project Life and Flavors of the Month Kits from The ScrapRoom.

Week 19

This layout consists of just two events: my youngest son's birthday dinner and present and my younger brother's best man speech at a friend's wedding.  One very casual event and one quite formal event.  Color photos and black and white photos.  At first this juxtaposition kinda stumped me.  In the end, a gray color scheme with pops of aqua and red seemed to make it work.

2013 / Home

This layout is also two events from the week:  Graduation at the school where I teach and my front garden in full bloom.  Again, I looked for a common color to unite the two sides.  Red and navy worked well.  Since most of the embellishments for this paper line were floral, I made a banner for the left side title card.

Well, that's two of my layouts for May 2013.  I hope you enjoyed them and see some ideas that you can use.  I'll be back soon with the rest of them.  I'm going to get back in the bed and drink tea with honey.  Hopefully, this allergy season is almost over.
